Peak Teams CASE STUDY
LEADERSHIP AND TALENT PROGRAM – CLIENT FOCUS
Background
One of the world’s largest financial services firms, with over 70,000 employees around the globe, was being hit hard by the 2008 financial crisis. Confidence levels in senior leadership were low and staff engagement scores were falling. Despite the challenging environment, the firm continued to invest in leadership development.
Objectives
Peak Teams was engaged to redesign, build and deliver a client focused module as part of an existing global program for top talent at the mid level of the organization.
The primary objectives of the redesign were to keep the client module relevant, innovative, and exciting. In addition it had to include a “WOW” factor and practical techniques for dealing with change.
Customized delivery of the program was also required, to suit the different audiences in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Peak Teams Role
Working in close partnership with the client’s Learning and Development team, Peak Teams completed the project in three stages:
Stage 1: Design
Identified the key learning and design needs and conducted a series of regional focus groups with senior leadership, past and future participants.
Stage 2: Build
Created an engaging and interactive 2.5 day program that combined client focused content with experiential activities and networking opportunities. To help deliver the desired WOW factor Peak Teams built a customized Sea of Change surfing simulation.
Stage 3: Delivery
Peak Teams delivered a pilot of the new program and made minor enhancements before our facilitation team delivered the completed program in three regions: the Americas, EMEA and APJ.
Results
81% said they would do things differently with clients as a result of the module
82% of participants rated the module very good or excellent
99% of participants thought the module helped build their global networks
