Mark Lord
Mark Lord is a consultant and lead facilitator for Peak Teams. Mark integrates a wealth of experience in team, leadership and organizational development in his work with leading organizations across the globe for over 15 years. His clients include: Google, eBay, Hewlett Packard, Stanford University, University of California, Lend Lease, and Granite Construction Company.
Mark specializes in the use of appreciative inquiry, process facilitation and experiential and adventure learning with his clients. He instructs and facilitates numerous leadership and team development programs every year across North America, Europe and Asia. Mark utilizes all of the Peak Teams programs to assist clients in developing leadership skills and teams in their own organizations. He applies this powerful methodology which enables executives, managers and individual contributors to develop the skills they need to effectively and successfully lead themselves and others.
Prior to his career in organizational development, Mark was in management in the ski industry and specialty retail and was a backcountry ski and climbing guide and guidebook author. He joined Catalyst Consulting in 1989 as a director and established the Catalyst Center for Experiential Learning and facilitated over 500 programs worldwide. During this time he also was an instructor in Leadership Development courses for University of California at Santa Cruz and Foothill College Department of Business. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in education and graduate work in Organizational Development. Pfeiffer published his co-authored book "The Handbook on Experiential Learning" in Spring ‘07.
